Major Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Electricity Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were wounded while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has increased assaults on energy facilities over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "concrete actions" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the United States, the EU and the major economies - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing restrictions," mentioned in a online statement.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty missiles attacked energy facilities, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit energy infrastructure and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region came under heavy assaults overnight. A seven-year-old child lost their life and several individuals were wounded.

The assaults come after nights of aerial attacks in the region, parts of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The entire country is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to spot.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the country's energy grid, with attacks already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated utility staff and authorities were anticipating further attacks.
